How much are the Association dues?
Certified employees -$37.35 per pay period
Classified $22.28 per pay period
*Utilizing 20 payroll deductions over the course of the school year
Where do my dues go?
Your annual dues are broken up into three pots:
1. National Education Association: This money is used towards federal educational lobbying and to help facilitate the Teacher's Union core infrastructure. (30% of your dues)
2. Arizona Education Association: This money is used to hire staff that works towards lobbying for education in the state house, paying for staff members who meet with locals and help with many of their concerns, and staff members who do things like help get Prop 208 passed. (60% of dues)
3. Glendale Education Association: This money is used to host teacher events, social events, and trainings throughout the year. The money is also used for stipends for our advocates who meet and advocate for members. (10% of dues)
